I had the luxury of watching The Wizard of OZ, one summers eve here, for free might I add. A surreal experience made better by the fantastic New York crowd who are not shy about getting up to dance a sing. If you do come here to watch a movie, come earlier and don't be afraid to push an old person out of the way. They will do it to you. Manners go out the window when people want the perfect place to sit. Bring food and towels to sit on. You won't be moving for a while so get comfortable.
