A lovely surprise. Leafy green park, with lots of seats, chess, eats and a library! Great people watching; a real oasis.

Next to Fifth Avenue and the New York Public Library, Bryant Park offers seating and outdoor wi-fi in a nice urban setting. Very cool.

My wife and I were just here to see a concert at the Southwest Porch. The park is beautiful. It was clean and offered many diiferent things to do. You can people watch, eat, drink, play free board games, read, ride a carousel, or do nothing and enjoy the surroundings. If you are in the area I would highly recommend a stop here to take it all in. It was truly a gem in NYC and we look forward to going back soon.

What a wonderful place right in the middle of the city - great spots to sit and people watch, many free activities for children and adults. Nice restaurants and clean public restrooms!

Even though I have lived in NYC for over 9 years, I still get very excited for that first day in Spring that its warm enough to eat lunch in Bryant Park. Available sit-down restaurants include Bryant Park Grill, Cafe, and Southwest Porch. If you're not in the mood to eat, bring a blanket and soak up the sun on the spacious green lawn. The juxtaposition of nature and architecture (see Grace Building, NYC Library, and Bryant Park hotel) makes the park a true New York treasure. Visitors can also visit the park in the winter when it is transformed into a seasonal skating rink in The Pond, with its own restaurant and snack bar. The atmosphere is eloquent & charming- quite a good idea for a brisk December night.
