The outdoor Reading Room has picture books and summertime story times. In winter. Take a spin on the free ice-skating rink. The park also has clean bathrooms, a rarity in midtown.

I like to walk through Bryant Park whenever I'm in that neighborhood. Most recently, I took a FREE knitting class (thanks, Pearl of Knitty City, W.79th St.!) every Tuesday over the summer. Summer also features free films, book discussions, music at lunchtime, yoga classes...and in winter Citi sponsors free ice-skating. The holiday boutiques from Thanksgiving-New Year's are great fun also!

in the 90's BP was a bad joint full of the worst things, The BP association, a private public initiative decided to take over and did a great job with it. it provides spaces to enjoy for the people working there, during lunch breakes and also entertainment for the visitors. Great success worth a visit.

A beautiful park just behind the New York Public Library. A refreshing and cool retreat from the rush and hurry of having to get to the next place!

Located behind the New York Library is the best place for midtown workers to relax, have lunch, people watch, and enjoy the moment as the world swirls around you.

Walking from Times Square to the Empire State building we found this awesome little park that offered clean restrooms and a quiet place to rest. Bryant Park is a spot the the whole family thought was cool because we found it by accident and remembered this Quiet moment between big NYC attractions
