Owner description: A lovely and largely uncrowded park that's perfect for the midday stroll. Be sure to check out the statue of famed theater actor Edwin Booth in the guise of Hamlet.

I've never seen a private park anywhere. It had to be in NY. It is a small, beautiful park in the middle of what it seemed to be a select neighbourhood. It is closed to the public because its use is exclusively of those who live there and who have the key to enter. Imagine living in a place where you have your own private park!... It sounds really good.

What great vision of the town planners so many years ago to create this wonderful park - it is one of New York's best.
I was fortunate years ago to stay here on Christmas eve and was given a key to enjoy the park and hear the Christmas carols - a wonderful experience - it is a very special park.
If I was ever to live in New York, you could not do better than a home in this area.

it's called by many the park second to Central park. It'd big.\, it's beautiful, it's great. One should view this park for it's history. It's just great.

In the middle of a city as big as New York, it is difficult to find greenery away from Central Park, one of the amazing facts of Gramercy Park is that home tenants within the square hold a key to the gate to go sit by one of the benches to enjoy the humidity of the shaded parts of the park and the greenery in the middle of so much concrete. It is a small park indeed, but well hidden in a very central location of N.Y.. You, of course, need to know a tenant in order to get in and enjoy the benches, very popular for lunch breaks as well afternoon and evening moments of peace and quiet.

If you want to feel like a kid outside a candyshop, walk by this private park. It is only open with keys that belong to folks who live in the neighborhood. But never mind: the park offers peace and beauty with its trees and well kept shrubs and sculpture.
