Good collection, but not very extensive on Chinese American designers and silk. Good to step from MOCA to explore Chinatown.

We visited on an afterthought but were quite impressed with the quality of this small museum. Their eye opening and educational exhibits tell an insightful story of Chinese immigration and influence in the United States. The layout walks you through both a chronological and cultural progression of Chinese contribution to our society well beyond the well known story of their role in the construction of the transcontinental railroad. Era photographs and newspapers, as well as legal documents, punctuate the story quite well. For a country of immigrants, it's interesting to see the headlines shown in this museum repeated today - with a different group of immigrants.

It was an excellent museum with good pictures and stories. A good attitude. A positive staff. I actually felt like seeing it again.

Was with the family on a trip to NYC for the day and stopped here, really glad we did. It's a small museum but I really liked what they did with the displays. There are drawers in the wall you can pull out to look at items that couldn't be hung on the wall. There's an old store space that was really cool. The kids really liked seeing the famous Chinese who have made important contributions to America. I liked that part too. Worth a visit and a great little gift shop too.

it was very pleasant to visit here. I enjoyed the staff and the tour. But I think I am a loner and like to be able to view the exhibits on my own. I did give some terrific books for the kids in my life. They were recommended by the staff and the kids were very pleased
