Went to the 9 am Sunday Mass. It had music. The whole cathedral is under renovation. The mass was held in one of the smaller chapels. You need to get there close to the time it starts since it filled up quickly.

I love the outside of this cathedral. It's so huge, the pictures I took really did not give it justice! You should check it out.

I first spied St. Patrick's Cathderal from the lofty heights of the top of the Rockerfeller Centre. Looking down, the cathedral looking fairly unremarkable and not even terribly large. However, at street level, there is no denying the scale and beauty of this majestic building.

Exploring the inside is a great experience whether you are religious or not. The atmosphere is quite amazing, a quiet and thought provoking place to contemplate whilst the craziness of Manhattan carries on relentlessly outside!

Surpisingly peaceful, even when the builders were working on the renovation. Spectacular in its scale.
