“Currently under renovation”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Usually i wouldn't score this at average as it is a very impressive building, but at the moment its under renovations so the entire building is class with scaffolding, but if its finished when you get there, visit it during the day and evening. I've been here for christmas and surrounded by the fifth avenue decorations and christmas snow, it is an iconic picture to behold.

“Very Grand”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Very Grand and awe inspiring, it is undergoing some reconstruction at the moment so some areas look a little worse for wear. The windows are beautiful from the in side and out.

“Impressive space”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

Even though they were doing some construction/renovations to the front tower, the space is magnificent and admirable. Take note however that parishioners are praying and using the space for their own personal religious experiences. Be respectful, but make sure you make a slow loop of the Cathedral. It's a grand building.

“Small by european standards but a sweet spot in NY”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

It's great to get off the hustle of 5th ave and duck into the cathedral. For NY it is grand, but after seeing older cathedrals in Europe it is small, but quaint: an odd thing t0 say about something in NY
