“Great location, nice hotel, not cheap”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

The hotel is perfectly located in the city away from, but close enough to Times Square, theatre district. We chose this hotel because its located near one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, but you are paying a good price for that. Everyone is helpful and friendly. We would go back.

Our family had a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful. The hotel beautiful, and rooms spacious. What more can you ask for? Well free WiFi would be nice! Seems very outdated to charge in this level of hotel.

Room Tip: We had a high room with view, fantastic!

I traveled with my wife and another couple for 4 nights.
We had a very pleasant stay.
Everybody at the hotel, starting with Brian at Reservation´s, the doorman, the concierge, the people at the Bell Captain´s desk, and the staff at the Front Desk were very kind and allways willing to asist us in every possible way.
The hotel has been recently renovated and, even though it kept it´s classic essence, the lobby is amazing!
The staff was always willing to help and asist.
the rooms as always are very spacious and confortable, but they gave us an upgrade to the 39th floor which is awesome because theese rooms are just renovated an re-decorated.
the ambiance is spectacular and the thing I love most is the hotel´s location.
Our overall experience was fantastic.
Just what we were hoping for and more!!!

Room Tip: Try the 39th floor rooms. Are definetely the best because of the view and the renovations.

I always loved the Palace, but I hadn't stayed there in about a year until two weeks ago and WOW. Fantastic renovations to the main lobby area, bars and restaurants. Love the new Michel Richard dining option in the lobby and the sundry store that seems to open early and stay open late. Rooms are big, beds are very comfortable and the restrooms are large and easy to maneuver. I always feel comfortable and well taken care of in this hotel and it's might on Madison. What more could you ask for! Also, great bellmen. They can track down a car or cab anytime day or night it seems!

Room Tip: I asked for a room on the lower floors just because I hate spending a lot of time on elevators, but...

The check in was painless and the staff was the nicest and most helpful I've encountered. There was a great restaurant inside the hotel as well. The ambience was amazing and the artwork on the walls was beautiful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to any friend or anyone looking for a great place to stay in the city.

Arrival was smooth and room was ready at 10:10 a.m. which was a nice surprise. Check in was easy and luggage arrived promptly. Downside is that there is no coffee maker in the room and for the price paid for the room that was disappointing. The staff was very friendly and we asked questions which were promptly answered. The location is perfect. Shopping on 5th Avenue Madison Avenue and walking on Park Avenue is delightful. Broadway theatres are within easy walking distance. The hotel has undergone extensive renovations and is even more beautiful that in prior visits.

Room Tip: Be sure to assure that your room assigned is not near the elevator and is on the St. Patrick's C...
