“A real dinner”

One of the few left in NYC. The eggs are very well cooked and the service is very nice and efficient.

“Old fashioned diner, just like Mom used to bring you to”
Reviewed August 9, 2014

Everything about La Parisienne says "I've been here 50 proud years and I'll be here 50 more, God willing." The menu is broad and long, just like that of any highway diner, only this is Seventh Avenue. The place is an anachronism, but that's why it's charming. The service was cordial and attentive, but they know how to leave you alone, too, to linger a little while -- a real gift in New York City!

I had a well done mushroom burger and french fries. Burger was cooked perfectly. (So many times I have to send the well done burger back and ask for "no pink" or "please nuke it." They knew how to do it here. I would have preferred the mushrooms to have been cooked longer, but I could have asked.

La Parisienne is almost missable, next to a larger cafe on the corner near the N/Q/R stop at Seventh Ave. Keep walking towards Central Park just a few more steps. It's a great place to stop, breathe, feel at home and comfy for a few moments.

“Breakfast Spot”

Great place for "Diner" type breakfast. Service is quick and very friendly, prices are very reasonable for New York City breakfast.

“Reasonable Breakfast”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

A good hearty breakfast available for $8.95, with lots of coffee. The decor was dated but near classed as 70's retro. The staff were kind, and service was quick. The food was excellent and set you up for the day.

“A really nice traditional diner”
Reviewed July 30, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A classic diner. Good, basic food, decent prices, fast service in a very diner like setting. So much better than the trendy, cramped, over priced Brooklyn Diner (read: tourist trap) nearby. A good place for breakfast or lunch or even a fast, simple dinner.
