24 different preparations of mussels, the freshest oysters around and special appetizers every night highlight this fantastic neighborhood restaurant. And the donuts for dessert are a must. The staff is friendly and attentive but not overbearing, and while it can get loud when busy, it just adds to the happy vibe of the place.

If you love mussels, you MUST eat at Flex Mussels. I have tried. Many different dishes here, and have never been disappointed. Remember to ask your server about their special beers, and listen to their advice when choosing food and drinks!

There are three Flex Mussels in NYC. This one has generous portions, excellent mussels parma, chowder and mussels provencal. Nice wine selections but only a handful of those by the glass. Lobster roll with lemons dressing for $26.00 was not worth the price. Hearing aid customers should sit at table 35 where the noise is not concentrated. Generouse food portions as well.

Deliciousness awaits at the best place for seafood in NYC. Every aspect of the place is perfect - chic Maritime ambiance, excellent service, great cocktails and beers, and the ultimate selection of mussels for any budget. The oysters very fresh and represented both the east and west coasts. My sister tried the Bouillabase and I had the Funghi mussels - and we shared a cone of truffles fries (not to be missed!). My kettle of mussels was full of several types of mushrooms, thick-cut bacon, and a broth laced with cream and garlic. The mussels were cooked perfectly. Make a reservation and go - now!

Situated in a leafy Street close to the Brooklyn Museum, is what looks like a small bar. One does not see that at the back of the bar, is a large well designed and lit restaurant.
The menú has an incredible selection of mussels in sauces that you would never think of beside the traditional broth that entices you to pick up your saucepan at the end of the mussel eating sessión, and it is a sessión for the portions are generous ,I drank straight out of the pan, tasty to the last mouthful. Even for those with uric acid or kidney Stone problems, I would say “go for it” and drink plenty of wáter afterwards. Service and advice are profesional, unlike other trendy local places where your ‘server” is studying for his or her degree in African Philanthropy” and is doing you poor people a big favor by insisting on you eating what he or she likes. Prices are not cheap , but for this unusual selection of sea food it is worth the experience.
