The staff was unbelievable so friendly. The location was unbelievable, so close to time square.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice clean place to rest their head in the heart of new york. Being close to hell's kitchen was very cool as well. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, only a block or two from Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building. We had a queen bed room, quite small and basic if that is what you're looking for. The main complaint would be the noise, not from the street but from the other rooms and corridor! The walls are thin so you can hear everything, but the rooms are clean and tidy!

The room was small but from the map on the door we had the smallest room on the floor (310) and after staying at many budget hotels in NYC, we were expecting that. The staff was always friendly and helpful. They were wonderful. Location is amazing. You can walk almost anywhere. The room was clean. The area around the hotel is normal NYC. It is not a bad neighborhood (where did you grow up?). Tons of food places around. Hot shower. It is obviously a budget hotel but for the price I paid, I would go back here every time. It was a bit noisy at night (people talking in the halls at 2am, obvious sex noises, etc.) but that can happen anywhere.

This "college dorm" (hotel) is in a great location; a couple blocks from Madison square garden and other landmarks people often visit to see. If you're looking for a place to literally shower and sleep this place is perfect. In my opinion this is a place for the "party" crowd. I was afraid originally from all the reviews I read but the place is not THAT bad and is for those that don't plan on staying in, and that was my exact plan. It seems that they may have renovated because the travelers pictures are slightly different than the actual hotel. The layout of this place clearly shows that this is an apartment building turned hotel. I would advise people to bring your own linen (wash cloths, sheets, etc) and of course toiletries. Good luck!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and even though the location is near Times Square and the Empire State Building, the room was quiet. My only complaint was the the thermostat in my room didn't work, but when I told the front desk, I was immediately given a heater for the bedroom. For the rest of my stay, I was nice and toasty!

The room was small and the hotel is in an old building, but it was just what I expected for a two star hotel for under $100 in Manhattan. The location is great, the hotel employees were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. It's obvious that they have updated the hotel- the fixtures in the bathroom are modern but basic. An air conditioner was attached to the wall and there was a space heater in the corner (we needed that space heater during the night- it got cold!) A nice, no-frills room when all I really need it for is a shower and sleep.

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor near check-in, and we could hear everyone who came or went.
