I stayed at the hotel for a teacher's conference. The staff was wonderful and helpful. After the first night, the air was not working. In the morning, I went to the front desk and it was fixed by the time I got back in the afternoon. The hotel was spotless. Everything was great!!

We just returned from a 3 night stay in NYC - our first. We enjoyed our stay at the New Yorker. The location is wonderful. We walked to all the sites that we wanted to see. The subway is at the next intersection, so that was very handy. Although the room was small it was neat and clean. When the 3 of us (two adults and a teenager) were trying to get ready at the same time it was noticeable how small the room was, otherwise we were really only there to sleep. There was a small dresser and a closet, plenty of storage for the 3 of us. The only thing that I would have liked was some storage in the bathroom. A pedestal sink and very small glass shelf above the sink left us storing our bathroom necessities on the table in the room. The pipes in the next room were a bit noisy but our shower was great with lots of hot water! The beds were comfortable and lots of pillows made sleeping easy. There was the typical hallway noise but our neighbors were quiet and we had no noise issues when in the room. We were on the 32nd floor and had great views out of one of the two windows. The best part of our stay was the wonderful concierge, Suzie! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! She even gave us information about where filming of a major tv show was happening so that we could see that take place. We would definitely stay again on another trip to NYC!

Myself and my partner stayed at the New Yorker in July last year. We arrived on a very busy Independence Day but enjoyed a speedy check-in with recommendations from the staff for dinner as well! Throughout our 8 day stay, the staff could not have been more helpful with advice on which subway train to catch as well as advice on returning to JFK.

The rooms were always clean and although they were small, the bathroom was of ample size. We ate breakfast at the Tick Tock diner every morning before going out to explore. We really enjoyed the lovely breakfasts that they served. We also enjoyed drinks in Coopers Tavern. Both of these are situated on the ground floor, with access from the hotel. The gift shop in the basement also allowed us to buy souvenirs at decent prices!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the New Yorker and have recommended it to lots of our friends. We hope to stay again as part of our honeymoon next year!

Great location, adjacent to Penn Station and a subway stop right outside the door. There is a diner attached to the hotel, and many others very close by. The room was clean. It's an older hotel, and there was some chipped paint in a few places in the bathroom, and the hallway carpet was a bit worn, but I liked the classic style of the hotel, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Had a perfect stay at the New Yorker hotel. Stayed my family of 4 in a Tower suite. Ok room, but some of the furnitures were a little bit rusty. Nice to have 2 seperate rooms. Breakfast was the traditionel one - not much fantastic to say about that. Love the art deco style for the hotel. Bathroom was a little bit small in size, but it was funtional. Will recommend the hotel for 1. Location, 2. Price, 3. Nice rooms (suites, can't say anything about the other rooms) for a family.
