Our family stayed at this hotel because the hotel we usually stay at for Labor Day weekend was fully booked. However there was a couple downfalls to this hotel; there was holes in the blankets, not the best internet connection, the TV wouldn't work, and to be able to use the pool you had to buy swim caps. But don't get me wrong the location was amazing as well as the view. The hotel was clean and well serviced. They also are missing on some amenities like toiletries, but exceed in others like a free DVD rental system, free use of bathrobes, free internet, free breakfast, free use of gym, and free use of play station. Overall I would say this is a great hotel!

My husband had stayed at this hotel several years ago for extended business trips, and liked it. Since its location on the upper West Side was perfect for our plans, we decided to try it out for our short vacation. It was perfect for our needs with comfortable, quiet rooms, pleasant staff, a small, complimentary breakfast bar in the lobby,...We will definitely plan to stay there the next time we have a few days in the City.

The hotel is ok if you like the old 40's look and feel. The continental breakfast was sufficient and they kept the breakfast area clean and well stocked. I shared a suite with three other adult women. It was kind of small for a "suite" however it was still large enough that we were not running into each other and we had our own space...even with a sleeper sofa and a roll away bed in the room. The one thing that I did not notice until after I got home was that a mouse enjoyed the stay and food as well...one of the snack bars that I brought with me was nibbled on! We were outside of the room most of the time but for the money and location it was ok. Even though it was a good deal, I can not stay there again knowing (first hand) that they have mice.

My son and I stayed at the Milburn recently on a last-minute trip to NYC. Staff very friendly, room small but charming and clean, bed extremely comfortable! Great location, just a few blocks to the MTA stop and lots of restaurants and stores in the neighborhood. The continental breakfast wasn't terribly exciting but was adequate (cereal, coffee, yogurt, breads/bagels). We had a strange experience visiting the JCC pool (a pass is included in your stay) - the woman who ran the pool area was extremely controlling and it made for a less than relaxed swim - pool would be fine for laps but really isn't set up for fun. But other than that, really a nice, cost effective find.

Great location on the upper west side of town. Had 2 double beds, a bathroom and a very small kitchenette but it was big enough for our family of 4. Breakfast room is small so either go early, wait or take stuff back to your room like we did. Its about a 30 min walk or a 15 min ride from the subway which is a couple of steeets down to Times Square. Very quiet at night. Great area if you want to be close to the action but not staying in the madness! I found charging for printing paper off the computer a bit petty but we would definitely consider staying here again.
