Located one black from Macy's Herald Square this is a wonderful place to stay. Well located near the subway, it is a short walk to Times Square and a parking garage is nearby ($35 per day with validation). The streets were not as noisy compared to hotels in other locations.

Everyone knows the importance of the hotel location in NYC. This hotel is located at walking distance to Madison Garden/Times Sq and some diverse dining places. Th hotel is surrounded by all busy streets, ongoing construction and renovation project but it was pretty quiet inside the room. I stayed in king-size room and it was bigger than expected, not too tiny in NYC standards. We did not see the information about adjusting the height of the mattress in our room and one of our twin mattress is higher than the other one. It was not comfortable at all while sleeping in the middle. We managed to see the sign about bed instruction in the counter while checking out, which was too late for us.

Con: I wish their parking policy was a little more flexible. We parked for about 26 hours but we had to pay two days of parking fee, though we checked out around 9am and hotel staffs held the luggage for us, which was helpful. After all, it was worth of a visit.

A good price in a great location. The rooms were of average cleanliness but I had a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was quiet (a corner room at the end of the hall on a high floor). Not a luxury hotel but inexpensive and overall very nice.

Very nice people at hotel. They were great about holding our luggage for us when we arrived early.
The location of hotel is awesome- lots of great restaurants around. Modern looking rooms/lobby. Clean and comfortable room.

Room Tip: Ask for view of Empire State Building if you want to feel like you're in NYC while in hotel.

We stayed the week of Christmas and found the rooms to be good and the beds were really comfortable for sleeping. The best part was the location, next to the subway station made it easy to get around to all the major sites of New York. I would recommend getting the week pass on the subway for $29.00. It made using the subways easy. The price was OK but for a Midwestern farm boy a little expensive. The staff was helpful and friendly.

We stayed at the Hilton during one of the coldest
weeks of the season but our room was toasty
warm and very clean. Staff was very friendly
and accomodating. We had to crane our necks
for our "city view" of the Empire State Building
but it was there! For the prices in NYC this was
probably good value and we would stay here again.
A good location and only 7 short blocks to Times
Square.

Room Tip: City view was worth the extra bit of money for tourists or "first timers".

We had a "King Bed Non Smoke Cityview" room. The bed took so much space that there was no have our 2 suitcases open on the floor! The "Cityview" was not more than a small part of 6th Avenue, and also looking straight into another building on our level (21st floor). Not the "City View" that I hoped (and paid extra!) for. The curtains were yellow-ish (I thought this was a non-smoking room?) and fabrics where old and dusty. I found the front desk staff not friendly and not very willing to help a first-time New York visitor out.

All in all a mediocre hotel at a decent location (Macy's is 2 minutes walk). But it does not live up to the name "Hilton" and is certainly not worth the extra $$.

Room Tip: Do not expect to see a skyline from your window with a City View room.
