“Comfortable hotel, good location.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

We thought the room was very spacious and comfortable and somewhere to relax as well as sleep. The library was another place to sit and relax in a homely atmosphere and a nice place to have breakfast. The furnishings were a bit too tizzy for our taste but the spaciousness of the room made up for this. The breakfast wasn't outstanding but adequate. The bathroom was bright, clean and a good size. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our only criticisms are we could only get one channel on the TV and the room, being at the front of the building, was very noisy so ask for a back room or take earplugs! It's in a good location close to the Flatiron, good shops and parks.

Room Tip: Front rooms are very noisy.

This is my third time staying at the Inn on 23rd Street. It is in a very convenient location to easily walk to the subway or attractions and restaurants nearby. I love being so close to the Flat Iron Building and Madison Square Park. The inn is very clean, quiet and the breakfast is delicious. It is a very relaxing place to stay after a busy day sightseeing around Manhattan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed meeting and talking with the other guests at breakfast time and on wine and cheese nights. I highly recommend staying here.

I loved my stay at The Inn on 23rd. I was in The Grille room which was very pink. It has a huge skylight, so it has lots of light and is very quiet. The bathroom was the cleanest hotel bathroom I have ever visited. It wasn't just sanitary, every fixture gleamed. My sister had a huge 1940's style room which overlooked 23rd street and was also very cool. We had a very nice lunch at the Guilty Goose, and the 20% guest discount made that really affordable. The breakfast was lovely and the windows were open to a beautiful spring day. The (wireless) internet worked well. I only really interacted with one staff member but she was very nice and gave us a tour of the facility and pointed out the printer, honor bar, etc. She let us into our room before 1:00 pm, a courtesy unknown to most properties. The location is so easy and convenient, there are subway stations at each end of the street.

Room Tip: There are only 12 rooms. The top floor and the rooms facing the front would have the most light, bu...

I have stayed at The Inn several times and I will do it again and again. Rooms are quiet and pretty, the staff is wonderful, the location couldn't be better. I love that they have main museum passes available, that the staff is warm and helpful, that you have a discount at the Guilty Goose restaurant just because you are a guest at The Inn. There are umbrellas, in case you forgot yours. The Inn does so many things to make your stay so pleasant that you just have to come back!

Room Tip: If you travel solo, request a queen room, they are pretty nice and have everything you need. The on...

This is my first review but was so pleased with the Inn on 23rd I felt it was only fair to give the a thumbs up.

We stayed here on our way back to London from Florida for two nights. We arrived very early due to the airline moving our flight but the Inn was very helpful in accommodating this change.

Location is good subway station at the corner of both blocks, 3 stops to times square very easy but we got a cab if it was late as it only costs $8 for four.

Room was nice if a little small but we had just arrived for Florida (huge rooms) and there were four of us. We only needed somewhere nice to sleep and you can relax in the breakfast room. Can't remember watching the TV but I'm sure it had one, WiFi in the rooms and breakfast room is handy for checking plans etc.

Staff we all very nice and helpful to us, provide help and advice when asked.

Subway-station at the corner and walking distance to to Union square.
We stayed in the 1940´s room. It was very big (had both king-bed and seperate sitting area) and quiet (even though it was facing the 23rd street.) Very clean. Bed was ok. (I am spoild and missed a fluffy cover.) Big bathroom with nice shampoo/soaps provided. WiFi in the room. Breakfast with cereal and bagels, coffee/the was served in the beautiful library room set up with a long table in the middle and smaller tables by the window, so that it is up to the guests if they want to interact or not. Very helpful staff that is much more service-minded than the personel at some of the more expensive hotels.
