I used to think that Bentara in New Haven was the only place I could get good Malaysian (and Thai) soups, but now that I have found Malaysia Grill, I'll be missing New Haven lots less. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding. The people who work there are, to a person, kind, genuinely concerned with the customers' well being. It is clean, delightful. Don't let the simplicity of the site deceive you -- this the place to find a truly high end dining experience. And, by the way, their delivery service can't be beat -- you'll have your food in no time, and it wil be delivered with a smile. I've been living in the Morningside Heights/Manhattan Valley neighborhood for seven years, and I have found nothing to compare to this place for price/quality ratio. It's a place you don't want to miss.

I walked past this place a hundred times before stopping in. Though unassuming in appearance, this is a gem in Manhattan Valley! The food is delicious and there are some great vegetarian options. Not to be missed: the kari sayur kampur, a curry soup with tofu, vegetables and glass noodles. The prices are great- most entrees are $9-12 and bonus: no extra charge for brown rice. This place is great for take-out or for a small party in the restaurant.

I was staying in the nearby Youth Hostel and ate here a few times.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and happy to offer you variations on the menu. I found the food delicious, in particular their Chicken Pad Thai.

Great prices too.

this tiny side street spot does delicious Malaysian food of the type we had in Malaysia. Family style cooking with great flavor. The chicken roti appetizer is a MUST

If you need a fix of Asian food, this is a fair choice. Not very elegant, but good food at good prices. Since Malaysian food covers a lot of different tastes, there are Thai type or Chinese type dishes on the menu. Food is fast and friendly.
