“Recommend as your launching point to exploring the city- you won't find a better tour”

We just got back from our weeklong trip in New York and we had a fabulous time. We both like to walk a city and get a feel for it when we go on vacation. Real New York Tours with Heidi made that possible in New York.

I would like to thank Heidi and Real New York Tours for being so understanding when I asked them (only 4 days in advance!) if I could switch the date of our tour since we got last minute Letterman tickets for our first day in New York. They could have said no and they woudl have been in their right but they worked with us and rescheduled us for the next day. Thank you for that!

I'm glad we didn't do the tour on the first day in since we took a red eye from L.A. and didn't get much sleep. We eased into our first day and then started the tour with AWESOME Heidi :) on our second day of vacation. We went everywhere: Central Park, Chelsea, Grenwich Village, SoHo, LES, Financial District, City Hall, site of the two towers... It was an incredible experience and I could not have navigated the subways and the city without having been on this tour. As we walked we noted the areas we wanted to return to and it didn't feel long (6hours). It felt like we were old friends going for a nice stroll and doing some good sght seeing. Thanks Heidi for all of your knowledge on the city, the restaurants and bars, our vegetarian needs :), and overall just being really pleasant company.

Thank you New York Tours!!

“A whirlwind tour, with extras!”
Reviewed May 3, 2010

We had a fantastic 6 hour tour with RealNewYorkTours.com! the four of us (two adults in their mid-50s, teens aged 14 & 15) and our guide, Greg, walked fast talked fast and had time enough at the end to pad the tour with a subway ride into Brooklyn so we could walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Greg was incredible knowledgeable about the city and its history, fantastic knowledge of where movies and TV shows had been shot. We were able to set a keep a swift pace when we were walking, which made for more time to talk about things (and listen for a bit to a great jazz quartet in the Park) in more depth.

I recommend them to you with absolutely no reservations whatsoever!

It was our first full day in New York, having never visited before. Our guide was Shawn, who was a great young man who took us on a half day downtown tour. He showed us places we would never have found ourselves and he was very interesting to listen to. He also gave us tips on how the subway worked (which I found quite baffling) and where to eat. When he left us at Ground Zero, he even said if we needed anything during our stay to contact him, which was reassuring in a strange city. Top marks for communication from booking the tour (with Amber) to experiencing the tour.

“It was Awesome!!! Definitely take this tour!!!”

My husband and I were fortunate enough to go on the Dozen Apples Tour on April 23, 2010. We were also fortunate enough to get Luke as our tour guide. We met at the agreed upon spot for 10:00 a.m. What followed was hours of information, walking and fun!! We definitely saw more of Manhattan than we could of on our own, but what we couldn't have known is all the history that Luke was going to share with us as well (with pictures). It was truly an enjoyable day spent with Luke and the other tourists. We will definitely be taking the tour again when we get back to New York.

“Real insight into New York with a New Yorker”
Reviewed May 1, 2010

Did a half apple tour with Max last week. It was really great, he was so interesting it was wonderful to be taken around and be shown things you would just never see on your own. Max was very amiable and relaxed, and we really enjoyed our morning in the sunshine with him. He gave us tips on where to eat and chatted about all sort of things whilst walking every where from Greenwich Village to Chinatown to Wall Street. Thanks so much Max! Good luck with the acting. We ll look out for you on the big screen !
