“Buy a cheap ticket to a concert rather than do the tour - it's better value”

Expected more - guide couldn't be heard, not engaging and access was the same as you would see at a performance.

There is a lot more about the building that could be shared.

“Michael Feinstein was Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

Our first experience at Carnegie Hall to see Michael Feinstein and it was incredible. We had great seats and knowing the history of the performers who have graced that stage was an unbelievable experience. Great seats and a great performance, who could ask for anything more.

“Very informative and inexpensive tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

Docent led us on a tour of the main hall and explained much of its history. She was very knowledgeable and well-spoken. The tour cost $45 for two adults and three children - a bargain in Manhattan!

“Delightful Expereince”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014

Attended a performance for college guest appearance at Carnegie.
We were extremely enamored with the venue. The history in the building and previous performances was delightful to take in.
We were able to hear everything without any amplification of any of the soloist. Absolutely outstanding!
I would have enjoyed a better selection in the gift shop for memorabilia, but certainly NOT a priority.
If you have the opportunity to take in any show here, don't hesitate.
Fantastic venue!

“TOUR of Carnegie Hall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014

Recently toured Carnegie Hall with a group of students. Our guide, Leonore, was very knowledgeable and her presentation was informative and held the students' interest.
During the one-hour tour, they learned the history of the building along with some interesting tidbits about the lives of the visionaries who planned it. The students were disappointed that they couldn't actually be on stage, but that was understandable since they were already setting up for an evening concert.
