Free tours, basically free roaming around. The tour gives a good insight into collections and how the library was developed. Mondays many rooms are closed.

This place is delightful on a architectural point a view. It's impressive - visit all the room, each is different and deserve that you have a look at them.

This library is pure magic. The architecture is the building is stunning but what I love best is the spirit of the building. There is a sense when you enter the doors that you are in a sacred place, a place where books are cherished and honored. I highly recommend a visit.

The most popular hall was closed during our visit, however we were still able to roam around and admire the design of this beautiful building. The bookstore inside sells a lot of great books, pen, bags, shirts. Bathrooms are in the basement.

Not much can be added to previous reviews. Absolutely worthwhile. Beautiful architecture. Marble everywhere. Wonderful fronting. Interesting gift shop. The exterior details are remarkable. Its lions represent Patience and Fortitude.

Said to be the second largest public library in the United States (and third largest in the world).
It has many branches in different locations in NYC.

A neoclassic building, known as Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, designed by Carrère & Hastings and opened to the public in 1911. Three floors, 20 reading rooms, a Periodical Room (where you can read newspapers from all over the world), and much more.

We had the opportunity of seeing the original Declaration of Independence Act. It was a compensation as the main Reading Room was under restoration.

There are free tours at 10 am and at 2 pm.

Check the official website for programs and activities.

Grab your camera. And enjoy!
