The building is simply magnificent. It is easily found and you should spend some time walking around and looking at some extraordinary architecture, and superb fittings. There are literally miles of books - it is a must on your 'to do' list when visiting.

I wish we had more time to see the library. We had a couple of hours to spend and we needed a warm, quiet place to get some work done, so we paid the library a visit. We found our way to a reading room lined with books (not to be confused with a napping room, as I found out) that offered rows of desks and free internet access. It was perfect.

Our family is a lover of libraries and this is one of the great ones. This is such a magnificent landmark with beautiful architecture. You could step back in time and imagine what it was like in the early years, but it still is in use today. Not a museum I guess!

Its just down the street from the Chrysler Building, on the outside it looks lovely, on the inside it is amazing. How anyone manages to study i don't know. The roof, windows, light fittings are so lovely. Everyone heads to the Rose Reading room, but look around at some of the other, the map room was awesome. I would definitely do the tour the next time i come back. The gift shop is small but has some really unique bits and bobs, entrance is free to the library, so this is a good way of contributings something back

The books smell as good as they read! Love the library. It's home. And the books are so familiar. Wish Carrie and Big would go back for their 25th anniversary and renew their vows there!
