“Wonderful”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

This library is magnificent. We spent a couple of hours just wandering and checking out the architecture and the collections. There are wonderful paintings and and the structure of the building is amazing. I'd love to spend a few days getting to know this library.

“Beautiful building, ahead of its time”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

This building itself is just beautiful even if you don't step inside. The reading rooms upstairs look like something from inside a palace or cathedral. The call system for requesting books from the stacks below was way ahead of it's time. Take the time to check this place out.

“Love their exhibits”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

They have unique free exhibits that change. A must-see while in town...it's easy to walk around and take a tour. Makes one want to live there so they can use it frequently.

“Absolutely beautiful!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

This is an absolutely beautiful building - inside and out. Be sure to take the free 1 hour guided tour. The guides are very knowledgeable about the history. Visit the gift shop on the way out for great souvenirs.

“So Much to See”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

This library is huge. When we went they had an exhibit about Lunch in New York on the first floor. A seemingly boring subject, this display was very interesting and offered a great segway into the library. The really thing to see is the third floor, where the decor and grandeur really stands out. Be careful where you go, as some places don't allow photography and aren't welcoming to tourists and try to be respectful of the patrons.
