The library itself deserves to be seen, but I especially enjoyed the Charles Dickens exhibit. This should be on everyone's list of things to see in New York.

I had read about this exhibit in the New York Times and it was wonderful. The exhibit explained how the term "power lunch" came in to being and showed menus of the restaurants where the early 20th century "movers and shakers" dined. What I really enjoyed was the Horn and Hardart exhibit which explained the early automat - and its decline and susequent demise. I have fond memories of the automat in Philadelphia. If there are those who remember automats, I think you will enjoy this temporary presentation.

Stunning architecture in excellent condition. We also went to the lunch time exhibit which was fascinating. This place is inspirational for learning. Also enjoyed Bryant Square adjacent.

After spending time relaxing in Bryant Park, entering the NYPL is a therapy on it's own. Getting away from the crowd, the noise and the turmoil of the Big Apple. The building in itself is amazingly beautiful and grand, the rooms are impressive. I took the time to visit a lovely exhibit entitled "the lunch hour in NYC", the invention of lunch you may say in a big city like NY. Very informative and nice, a guided visit is also available.
Very impressive, lovely place to go when in NY.
