The staff at this location is unbelievable in regards to delivering customer service! The location was perfect for what we wanted to see but thought they were a bit "pricey" until we got to experience their staff! Well worth the value!

Good location, nice room and helpful staff. The heating system was a little tricky at times but this could be because the TV was in front of the thermostat. Breakfast was sufficient. Overall a good experience. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed over Thanksgiving week. Great location for the parade and right next to Macy's! The room was very clean. It was also spacious by NYC standards. The staff is the best part of this hotel. Extremely friendly and attentive! We did have several issues during our stay, TV remote did not work and neither did the thermostat upon our arrival. We called the front desk and within minutes maintenance had responded and repaired both issues.

We booked months in advance and got a great rate for the holiday time period. We would stay here again.

Staying here for one night as part of Hilton elite qualification promo, rather disappointed. Staff are relaxed to a point they do not greet you when you approach front desk. No glass or even plastic cups available within the hotel. My room has a strong detergent smell to it, not sure if its the sheets or some carpet deodorant but it makes me sneeze. The free "high speed" internet registers at 0.08 Mbs at nighttime: forget being able to rely on it. Gold status not acknowledged. Requested late checkout - normal checkout is 11am mind you- was advised to inquirer after 7am next morning. tv set has some weird setup unlike most hotels, good luck figuring out their remote or channel availability. Room itself is rather small feels cramp, but worse is the furnishings and wallpaper makes it seem really cheap and garish, something one would expect for cheap dated countryside motel.

One positive is that bed feels pretty comfortable and that a fridge was delivered upon request, but its availability is not guaranteed. Also their elevators seem rather slow but at least every floor has an indicator showing where they are.

To summarize, this location in Manhattan is convenient, but to stay here is rather a nuisance compared to other similar choices be it next door or a next street over.

My wife and I took the kids into Manhattan for an overnight stay to see the Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Hampton is located right in Herald Square, across from Macy's and near the best restaurants and attractions. The hotel was clean and safe. The staff was amazing. We highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed four nights at this hotel during a leisure trip to New York. Found it to be a very good place to stay - the hotel was comfortable, the service was very good and the location was excellent.
This Hampton Inn is on 35th Street, between Broadway and 5th Avenue. It is right next to the Empire State building, within quick walking distance to Times Square, and close to subway stops convenient for the rest of the city. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
The hotel building has a rather small footprint and the rooms are on the small side, as one expects for New York. But it all works well in this small space. The lobby can get crowded during peak hours, but the breakfast area never got overfull. The room was nicely laid out, clean and comfortable. The desk worked fine, the bed was excellent and the bathroom, albeit small, was reasonably well laid out and functional.
The breakfast was classical Hampton Inn breakfast - buffet with hot items, make-your-own-waffles, breads, bagels, rolls, fruits, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee, etc. Having this breakfast included is one of the things that draws me to the Hampton Inn - it is a good day to start a long day.
The service at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful and always willing to find solutions. My stay was also during a heat wave and they had cold water bottles on hand for hot and thirsty travelers. The breakfast staff were also very busy keeping the breakfast area in order and stocked, but always polite and helpful.
I would happily stay at this hotel again when in New York.
