Even though rooms are on the small size, they are very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately you can hear other guest in hall too easy. Great location for walking along Broadway. Staff where very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast has good variety - waffles, fruit, a hot and cold cereal, danishes/muffins, toast.

I found the hotel to have a great location. Decent rooms which are small but standard for ny. For a couple the room is big enough but could be tight for a family. Breakfast which is included was very good and standard hampton inn fare. On the plus side the hotel has a subway station right next to it on 35th and 6th, the station is 34th/herald sq. it is the same station as the one on 34th street but it is a large station which also connect on 35th. We used the subway from jfk, it takes about 1hour and 15 min On the same street, you will find a lounge bar called liberty which has very good food and during happy hour 4 to 6pm offers $1 oysters. 3 streets south of the hotel, on 32nd and 6th, tou will find koreantown which has a lot of restaurants, coffe shops and kareoke bars. Staff at the hotel was extremely friendy and helpful.

Great location near Harald Square, MTA stop, food, etc. Surprisingly quiet for the location, and larger than average rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially for a 'value' hotel; the level of service was what one might expect from a much more expensive hotel. Breakfast was so-so - difficult for special diet needs - but the fitness center was large and clean.

Convenient location, near Empire State building and lots of shops, pleasantly surprised with neatness of room and quality breakfast. Stayed for three nights. It is recommendable to anyone. I may consider to book closer to Time Square, but after getting used to the streets of NY, it does not matter where you stay. It was very close to all bus routes, Hop on hop off bus and subs are close by.

Our family just returned home after spending four nights in this hotel. We were very impressed. The hotel is very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. They offered a great breakfast which enables you to save money and you avoid having to go out in search of a restaurant to have breakfast. As well, the location was exellent! Close to Times Square, Madison Square Gardens, Macy's, Empire State Building and the subway. We would suggest getting a room view of the Empire State Building. Well worth the extra money! Will recommend to others as we are already planning for our next trip back to New York city!

Room Tip: We were by the elevator on the 20th floor....no issues.

Great welcome at the front desk with free cookies to calm your hunger pangs after a long day of travelling. The rooms were all centered closely to the lifts/elevators which meant you could hear people talking whist waiting for the lifts which was only a problem when you were trying to sleep. The room was small (as you would expect) and the bathroom tiny but the shower had a good stream of hot water and it was all nice and clean.
The breakfast was great - hot waffles, pre-prepared omelettes, cereal, pastries, yoghurt and fruit salad. Lots of choice and the things we tried were delicious.
Fantastic location around the corner from the Empire State Building and only a block away from Macy's which allowed us plenty of time to shop and return to the room to drop off purchases and rest our arms.
The only downside was that there were only 2 lifts and they were always crowded and required long waits. If you have a low level room my tip would be to use the stairs. From a high floor you almost had to get in while it was still on the way up (if there was space) to ride it down, as it always filled up by the time it was heading down.
I'd definitely be happy to return.

The service was great and we were in the heart of mid-town. We could walk to almost everything from the hotel, including Times Square and the Empire State building. Breakfast was very crowded but not bad for a free meal in NYC. The lobby is small and they leave parcels and luggage out in the open which makes it seem cluttered. Rooms are smaller but big enough for our family of four.
