Stayed here in late May of this year for 4 days...I thought the hotel was wonderful, especially for the price (considering everything in NYC is expensive, it was quite reasonable). Rooms are small, again, its NYC, but you shouldn't be spending time in your room in NYC!!! It was a girlfriend and myself and we had a room with two double beds, it was plenty big enough for us and we had more than enough room to comfortably fit both suitcases and all other belongings in the room without tripping over them...I had asked for a room with a view and boy did we get one!!! We had a great view of the iconic NEW YORKER sign, we could clearly see the Empire State Building from our window, and best of all across the way I had a beautiful view of FREEDOM TOWER (I LOVE this building!!!!)...I couldn't have been happier with the room we were given for the views....
Breakfast was included, which was great to get you started for a busy day around town...nothing amazing, but definitely edible and quite a large selection! The staff is good to refill the area all morning...the area is quite small and on the last day we were there we got down there later then we had been before (we were hungover !) and the area was busy and pancake maker wasn't working...not that this mattered at all to me, but it could be a problem for others.
One thing that was a little frustrating was the time on the elevators, at night and in the early morning (before 9) we didn't seem to have a problem at all...however again on the last day when we were up and about later than in the previous days, the elevators took a LOOOONNNG time! and it probably wasn't all that long, but it was a significant difference from the other times we'd rode on it...
Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful, all in all this was a wonderful place to stay and when I return to NYC this is where I will be staying again as it was so very close to everything...
