Yesterday my wife and I (from south-eastern Australia) thoroughly enjoyed the guidance of Barri on our three-and-a-half hour tour of Greenwich Village around Cornelia/Bleecker. She was very knowledgeable on the food and the families/businesses providing it - and on the social history of the place - back into its former rural origins - and on through the 19th century right into the 21st. Her good humour and sensitivity to the local inhabitants also impressed us. And then there was the food - in truth a walking dégustation menu of bite-sized delights - never too much at one spot! We are already planning to give this tour as a present to relatives/others it is so good!

This tour group came recommended by a friend and though the one she did was sold out, we just picked another. The Greenwich Village tour with Heather so wonderfully mixed historical facts, architecture examples, cultural details... and not to mention the nibbles! Plenty enough for lunch- we didn't know how we were going to eat another bite and we still had three food stops left. HIghly, highly recommend.

What a great way to learn a bit about the culture and history of a NYC suburb - whilst gorging on fab food. We chose the Greenwich Village tour. The weather was great and Sephra the guide was real funny. I will admit that there was probably a bit too much food - but hey that's the US for you. We'll do another tour next time in a different area.

Our guide was great and made the tour really interesting and entertaining. The food was delicious. The walk along the Skyline at night was probably the highlight. Would definitely recommend

I've been to New York City several times but haven't previously taken advantage of all that Greenwich VIllage has to offer. This tour was great, including our great tour guide Barri! She knew everything about the area, easily answered our questions and truly helped us understand things like the locals. Food from 2 types of pizza offerings (2 locations), cheese from Murray's to pastries and cookies at varying locations was amazing! We even learned the ins and outs of olive oil - who knew there could be such a difference in the 'good stuff'? You walk maybe 3-4 blocks total over the 3 - 3.5 hour tour with several places to sit or use the bathroom along the way. Definitely come hungry! I highly recommend this tour!
