very nice space on the Upper West Side. attentive though not perfect sservice. the tuna appetizer miwas spectacular. the Ravioli with truffle cream was nice but not beautiful. the truffle just wasn't strong enough or concentrated wnough. . I enjoyed the scallops though they weren't the best best I have ever had

We found this lovely place on the Upper West Side on Trip Advisor and it was wonderful! Delicious ceviche, the grilled octopus were fabulous appetizers...bread was served with yummy roasted garlic and eggplant spread, the scallops were divine...this is a great place!

It was an unseasonably warm Friday evening in early October. We had reservations at 8 PM, for a party of six. We were seated at a very comfortable, sidewalk table for about 10 minutes while our indoor table was readied. Service outdoors was attentive and solicitous; in hindsight, we should have stayed there. Once inside, the din from closely packed, and very animated diners made conversation next to impossible. The small dining room was also quite smoky, not from tobacco, but cooking. The kitchen appeared overwhelmed; waits between dishes were lengthy. To compensate, the somewhat harried, but still very nice and highly professional waitstaff, "topped off" our wine glasses at no charge. The food was exquisite and worth the wait, although portions of some dishes were very small. The perfectly seasoned and sauteed Idaho trout was one of the most memorable entrees I've had in years; however at $26, with no sides, it was not enough to eat. Other dishes were more fulfilling such as the burrata ravioli and the whole roasted branzino. We shared a delicious side of Brussels sprouts and were equally impressed with the bread and spreads. We will likely come back but either elect to sit outside or choose a less busy evening.

I went here with my mom for her birthday. We both loved it. The waiter was very attentive. They gave us a great amuse bouche to start. Here is what we ate:

Hamachi and Yellowfin crudo - this was done very well. The avocado was very ripe and melted in your mouth. The fish was extremely fresh and I loved the sauce.

Baby tuscan kale- it was a refreshing salad but not terribly special.

Roasted brussel sprouts- these sprouts were sweet and crispy. So delicious!

Burrata ravioli - this was a very heavy dish. Tasted good but I feel that they could have done more with the sauce.

Then they gave complementary almond cream pots. These were delicious.

AND it was my mother's birthday so they gave her a complimentary chocolate mousse. This was so nice and my mom loved the espresso icing. So nice of them!!

We also ordered cappaccino which was only ok but they brought out many different flavored sugars which was awesome.

Finally with the check they brought out homemade chocolates. love the attention to detail.

We stopped for a dinner after a late flight in on Friday night. The scallops were nuggets from heaven! My husband had salmon which was cooked perfectly, warm through but still moist and tender. The bread and spreads were a wonderful start. I also had a watermelon margarita that had a great pepper kick--surprising and so refreshing! My husband had a non-alcoholic cucumber cooler and loved it.

We first met this chef when he catered a wedding in May 2012. Couldn't believe a buffet could be so perfect and special. Vince's restaurant is a real gem!
