“Perfectly Located with great hidden surprises”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2010

We stayed at the Warwick New York from Saturday until Wednesday. Travelers are myself, wife and 9 year old daughter. I don't think we could have picked a better hotel for our first visit to the BIG apple. The Warwick is an elegant hotel that is perfectly located for short visit that is packed with things to do. After arriving, we walked to Times Square - had pizza - and enjoyed shopping. Ernest Klein supermarket around the corner has everything you need. Sunday morning we attended services at Calvary Baptist - Awesome service - then spent the rest of the day walking Central Park/Park Ave/Madison Ave/5th ave. Monday was a short 5 min walk to the Rockafeller Center. Tue we caught the 1 train to the south ferry and visited the Statue of liberty. This Hotel is SO perfectly located.
Now, the hotel itself - Beautiful. An old world charm that is amazing. Hotel Staff were very plesant. Always around to help. A VERY comfortable bed - OH MY! The Marble and tile bathrooms were small but again very elegant. Night - you are about 1 or 2 blocks from the main traffic - that makes for much less noise while trying to sleep. Excellent hotel!

Thank you! We are glad that you found our location very convenient and that our team was attentive to your needs. You must have stayed in one of our "quite" rooms. We have many like you that prefer these rear facing rooms as you get a great nights sleep without the noise of the City! We hope to see you back soon!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Warwick Hotel for 5 days to celebrate our anniversary. This hotel was wonderful. The classic style; attentive and friendly staff; comfortable, clean rooms and great beds with down comforters along with timely room service and a location close to Central Park, museums, theaters and great restaurants made our trip a time we will always cherish. (Being in the great city of New York helped too!)

We stayed four nights in a "deluxe" room on the 20th floor. The room was extremely hot
and after two days they finally sent two men to work on the problem. The fix didn't last and
the heat returned. We did not get the comfort basic to any hotel accommodation. Choosing the Warwick was a costly mistake.

We booked the Warwick's online 21 days in advance deal, got a Premier Suite for $390 a night for a 5 night stay. Very pleased with our choice for value, location and service.

This was my partner's first trip to NYC and we weren't looking for a bargain/low cost option but something relatively nice. I was initially looking at some of the newer boutiques in SoHo and MPD but for the size and value Warwick was a better option.

Location is great, in mid-town right near 5th Ave shopping, Central Park and Broadway theatre district. Also a nice walk to Hell's Kitchen. We saw 2 broadway productions on our stay (both pre-booked) and it was a pleasant easy walk to the shows.

It's a lovely old hotel with a real sense of history. Premier Suite was a good choice, very spacious, separate lounge & entry foyer and large bedroom with king bed. Sitting room has 2 fridges (one minibar, one for your own stuff) which was handy, good size desk and lounge/table. Bed was comfortable, no bed bugs, and cleanliness good. Both rooms have large TVs with full cable and you can close the doors between the rooms. Bathroom relatively small but workable, with good hairdryer. Plenty of closet space and drawers. Room has ipod docking station with clock radio which has fair sound. Coffee makers on request for no charge (no kettles). Cleaning service good, as was overall standard at the hotel. Room service breakfast good the day we had it. Internet good, for a fee but weekly deal was OK.

The one thing I regret is not asking in advance for a view over 6th. We were in one of the suites which has totally internal (ie brick wall) views. It's extremely quiet for light sleepers but very little natural light in autumn - or probably at any time. The lifts are old and small and scarce so don't try and race out in a hurry! We didn't go to the bar but it was always well-patronised, of course there are plenty of other options around.

Having visited NY a number of times it was a pleasure having a large, well maintained place to stay rather than a small groovy cupboard. Note to Aussies, the yanks pronounce it "War-wick" which will make it easier to get back there in a cab!

Thank you for selecting to stay with us! You are right the Advance booking deal is really convenient. I am happy that you experienced one of our Premier Suites and am glad that the rear facing was quite and you slept well so that you could enjoy the City fresh each day. It was a long trip from “Down under”. Many of our regular guests actually ask for the rear facing rooms as though there is no view they are very quiet – who stays in a hotel room when visiting NYC!

My friend and I planned to meet in NYC and needed an affordable hotel for a Saturday night in NYC. We came across this hotel on Travelocity and were able to book it through a special "Top Secret Promotion". When checking in, we asked to have a city view room and were provided one at no extra cost. Our room was beautifully decorated with a queen bed and couch for extra seating. Our bathroom was very tiny, but for two petite women, it was fine. The products in the bathroom were of wonderful quality.

When returning to NYC, I will happily stay there again!

I just returned from a trip to NYC with my daughter. We had booked the Warwick through Priceline and had never stayed there before. The Warwick has a WONDERFUL location! Close to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, MOMA, etc. The lobby, although small, is beautifully decorated and elegant. The doorman was quite helpful, and the desk attendants were cordial and allowed us to check in almost three hours early. The bathroom was beautiful, had a wonderful make-up mirror, but was very small for the price. The room was also small, but had beautiful crown molding, a nice TV and lovely curtains. The only disappointing aspect was the fact that some of the furniture was marked and somewhat discolored. The location of the room was good--sixth floor and a view of Ave. of Americas. The room was very clean and had no bedbugs. The bed was very comfortable and the comforters were wonderful. It was warm this past week in NY, so the room was toasty--we could not open the windows and the air conditioning did not work--I read some one else's review and found it was because the air-conditioning is turned off in winter. That would have been nice to know from front desk staff or a note in the room. Other than that, my daughter and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for a traveler whose priority is location and lovely aesthetics.
