“Good value mid manhattan 4 star hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2010

Our room was spacious and contained everything one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Its location is excellent for the mid manhattan area just below Central Park and was just 50 meters from MOMA. Although a bit old fashioned, we found it to be better value than other similarly priced hotels in the area such as the Park Central or Wellington Hotels, both of which we have stayed at in the past.

The location of this hotel could not be better. Seriously. You are a couple of blocks from Central Park, down the road from the London (G Ramsay's restaurant is amazing with really good prix fixe menu), a couple of blocks from the theatre district (but away from the insantity). We felt totally safe walking to and from the hotel at all hours of day and night. The desk staff were a bit rude, but the restaurant staff greated my daughter and I like family each morning. The breakfast buffet gets a bit dull after a couple of days as it doesn't ever change. The rooms (we had premium) were spacious and the beds were very comfy. The elevators are small but this is part of the heritage hotel charm. There was little noise from the street (overlooked Ave of Americas). Really liked the updated electronics. Bathroom amenities were superb. I will definitely book this hotel when we return next spring.

Stayed at the Warwick for 8 nights. The location was great. The room was large and quiet. The bathroom needed a lot of work as it had a cracked sink in the vanity, a poorly repaired bath and a good scrub all over would have made a difference. The staff were friendly and offered to change our room. New York was so wonderful that we didn't take up the offer to move as we found we were too busy to pack up and shift rooms. We mistakenly used the mini bar fridge as a refrigerator and were very nearly charged for items we did not use but front staff were very professional and removed the charge from our bill and provided a small refrigerator for our remaining four days which although a bit old, battered and noisey did the job. We got our room for under $200 a night which was a great rate for Manhattan and would not want to pay more unless we had a newly renovated room. Randolph's bar is cosy but very expensive. We also had a coffee maker which made an okay cup of tea. I enjoyed the boutique style of this hotel and would stay again but request a renovated room.

Don't stay here. It is overpriced and overrated. Stained, cheap, and terrible service.

This was our 8th trip to NYC and our first to the Warwick...Our room was large, very clean, quiet and we had a great view! A coffee maker and bath robe was brought up on our request right away. The hair dryer and water temp and pressure were just fine. The elevators are small, but we never had to wait, we were on the 22nd floor.2208. We did notice on the floor map, some of the rooms could be small.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect!! Easy walk to Central park , theaters, and times square.

This will be the first place I check for my next visit!!

Be sure to get something from the Halal cart across the street....there are many, but it is next to the sculpture, on the same side as the Hilton. Really great food!!!!!
Also, the Astro diner is nearby, we had a terrific breakfast there, as well as Ellens stardust diner....the food at ellens isn't anything special, but the singing waitstaff is unbelievable!! Went to Sarabeths nearby which was expensive, but fantastic!!

Great location, near to the best atractions in NY: Central Park, Times Square, 5th Avenue, MoMa... Quiet street. Excelent space in rooms and bathrooms. Clean and silent. Breakfast could be cheaper. Certainly I will return.

Rooms very spacious by NYC standards, extremely clean. Front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. Excellent bar (the usual NYC high prices, but very nice ambiance). Easy walk to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park.
