We stayed at the Mark Hotel for several days this August. Prior to our trip we worked with Helen and Olga to coordinate rooms, restaurants, etc. They were both wonderful. And when we checked in, they knew the names of our children. The service remained excellent, and the boutique shopping and location by the Park was superb. That being said, it is not a child friendly place. I have three young children and you could feel the tension in the staff as my kids came through the lobby. The room service menu is extremely limited, and the only restaurant in the hotel is mega trendy right now so getting reservations is very tricky! (The food is excellent, should you get the opportunity to actually eat there.) We ate off site as much as possible, but the kids were relegated to room service most nights! The rooms had AMAZING tech features. But they were more modern and sparse meaning - less comfortable and more costly. Some neat tech gadgets, but not worth the cost of the room. I would recommend this hotel to trendy singles, fun couples, boutique shoppers, or people who want to visit the small town inside NYC.
