My girlfriend and I stayed at the Mark for a week in July. It was fantastic. The attention to detail, the exquisite finishings in the room and the brilliant service made the stay extra special. Located btwn Madison and 5th, its probably one of the best places to stay when in NYC being in such close proximity to most of the action (A 5 min walk away from Central Park, Museums, Shopping etc)
Overall, great hotel, and I would highly recommend it.

We stayed three nights in December. Location! Location! Location! From the doorman to the front desk to the housekeeping, the staff deserves a high rating! They are friendly, respectful, responsive and unpretentious! We felt the room was very spacious by New York standards and the bathroom was lovely with fabulous water pressure, heated towels and deep tub. Housekeeping keeps the rooms spotless. Service and food in the restaurant was delightful at dinner, but service was spotty at breakfast (order room service the prior night if you are in a hurry!). Room service did a nice job as well, on time and complete order the first time. Two out of three concierge restaurant recommendations, we would not return so do your own research on restaurants and just let them make the reservations. Very satisfied and will stay here again!

Our stay at the Mark was simply fabulous! It is the best in town! It is located in a great location.. Just few steps away to Central Park, Medison and 5th. The room is quiet and spacious. Breakfast is simply great and the quality of food is very high. In the hotel there is also one of the best restaurant of NY. The staff is friendly and helpful. Room service is excellent. The only negative thing is that they wanted to charge 1.500 USD for guarantee (unacceptable!)

The Mark is an exquisite hotel located between Madison and Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side of NYC. Beautifully appointed, lovely restaurant with a separate bustling and trendy bar scene. A place to see and to be seen.
The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly to my needs. I have stayed there several times and would highly recommend it.

Having stayed many times at the Four Seasons in recent years and been somewhat disappointed on our last visit, we decided to give The Mark a try and to our delight found the hotel to be first class in every way. If you are looking for a Corporate style/feel then go elsewhere but if you enjoy the feel of a smaller but first class hotel then this is the best we have found in New York by far. Great rooms, restaurant, gym and more importantly STAFF. This shall be our future home from home when in New York from now on.
