We just stayed at The Mark. For the most part, it's a lovely facility, but they have 4 rooms with unacceptable bathrooms. What a disappointment that they would let any guest stay in these rooms. When we checked in, we were asked whether we minded a bathroom with a walk-in shower rather than a tub. I actually prefer stalls to tubs so I don't have to shower in a tub full of water, so I was pleased to accept the room. What they didn't tell me was that the shower is completely ill-designed in a quest to be ADA compliant. The stall is extremely narrow, has no barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, and has a disgusting shower curtain that blows into the shower space so you have to fight not to have the curtain stick to your body while the water's on. Also, because the stall floor is flat with the bathroom, the water flows out to the rest of the bathroom so the marble floor gets incredibly slippery. Topping it all off, ithere's no fan in the bathroom so it's a steamed up mess by the end of it. When I complained at check-out, they admitted that they know these ADA bathrooms are a problem. Do NOT let them trick you into taking one of these substandard rooms!!!
