“Give this hotel a try!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We stayed on the fourth floor with a room facing the backyard. Needless to say there wasn't much to look at but it was very quiet apart from the occasional singing from the nearby church.
There wasn't much light coming in to the room and a large part of the window in the bedroom was covered by an AC unit which was very close to the bed. It was uncomfortable sleeping with cold air blowing directly onto you at night. Our friends stayed in another room which had a slightly better location of the AC. The bed was very comfortable. The interior design is slightly outdated so the room did not look modern but it didn’t distract much. The bathroom was sufficient with a decent sized tub and good quality soap, shampoo and lotion.
The breakfast was not exciting. There was no cooked food at all but the bread was fresh and well tasting. Fruit was in good supply. The guy working in the kitchen was working hard to keep supply. Another person who deserves a mention is the very friendly porter who was always greeting guests and was helpful at all times.
There are two Apple computers with a laser printer which was quite useful since many people print out tickets etc. Just remember that any document that you download on these computers remain in the computer even after log off.
Overall this is an affordable hotel by New York standards and right in the middle of the action. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not having the AC close to the bed.

The front desk housed a caring and knowledgable team. We read that the rooms were small. This is consistent with the city and hotel rates but very clean and comfortable. I've paid more at other places at Times Square and not had the super interest in our needs.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! It was in the perfect location. Just a 3 min. walk to Times Square, 6 min. walk to Rockefeller Center and a 12 min. walk to Central Park. The rooms are decent size but the furniture is rather big in the room so it makes it feel smaller. This didn't bother us (2 adults, 2 children) as we were out exploring the city and not hanging out in the hotel room. We couldn't hear the noise of the city at all in our room and the free breakfast was an added bonus. The hotel was all smoke free as well! The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They helped us navigate around the city. The lady there was great. She gave my kids each a card that had the hotel name on it and address to put in their pocket in case they got lost, then they could show someone their card. SiDiBi, the baggage man, was the best! He was so nice to my kids. He really made my son feel great and like he had a friend. They even took a picture with him before we left. :) I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Manhattan. The price was right for being in New York, you get free breakfast, and it is close to everything. We will definitely stay here again if we go back!

We needed a place to sleep that was clean, had breakfast and was in a great location.
I couldn't have asked for a better place.

The room was small, with just one queen sized bed in it, but was neat and clean and had no awful smell like many other hotels I've stayed in. The bathroom was clean also.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious. There was a choice of yogurts, cereal, a variety of breads (bagels, toast etc) and sweet bakery goods as well as juice, coffee, tea and fruit.
Everything was fresh and tasty and the breakfast staff were pleasant. The room was small for the amount of rooms they have in the hotel but we were never crowded and always had a place to sit and eat. No rush.

The cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and polite, I had no issues with them and didn't feel like they were angry or unhappy with their positions.

I will definitely be returning. This hotel is right in the middle of Times Square with several different things to do and see within walking distance. What a delight!

NOTE: We did not bring a car, I know nothing about the parking but we did see a sign that said about 10$ per half hour. Then again, I wouldn't take a car to NYC even if I had to! Especially since everything is within walking distance: food, entertainment, metro, Central Park, shops.

Room Tip: A/C wasn't too loud to have on when sleeping. Room was incredibly soundproof for the location...

We arrived on August 5th 2013. The lady in the front desk was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The only bad about the room we stayed in was it was very tight. It had 2 queen beds in a very small area. We did not care about that because we only came to the hotel to sleep. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom were very clean. The maids were very friendly. The breakfast area was very modern and clean. Wide variety of foods for all tastes. The coffee was really good. The location of the hotel was excellent - right in the midst of everything. The parking was $26 across the street. The staff was very helpful. No in/out privileges - only bad thing about parking. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Our experience was great at the Broadway at Times Square Hotel. The only downside is that I didn't read the fine print that the parking available down the street is discounted and not free. The garage attendants were very rude. The staff at the Broadway was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the street side. NYC streets are VERY NOISY all night long.
