We moved from a small queen bed room (quietest but smallest) on L6 to a large one on L2 facing 46th St (too noisy from street and plumbing to get decent sleep). Our final move was to a medium-sized room on L5 in the back of the building but this too had loud heater noises - as we were sick of moving rooms though and didn't want to trouble the reception staff further we stuck with this room but be warned if you're a light sleeper, you may just need to stick with a smaller room - in hindsight, we would've stuck with our tiny first room as I'm a light sleeper. The only other recommendation is for the hotel to put in more bath towel railings or at least somewhere to hang a hand towel.

Dear Vanessa L,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry for the inconvenience of having to switch rooms . Like most hotels in Manhattan, rooms facing busy streets are subject to some degree of noise.

Our staff is always eager to help our guests have the best stay possible, so even if you had wanted to make another switch they would have gladly moved you, provided another room was available.
We will certainly look into your suggestion about bath towel railings. We are also pleased to inform you and all other guests that the hotel will have a new exquisitely designed and significantly expanded lobby by May of this year. The new lobby will feature free 24 hour coffee/cappuccino, business and fitness center as well as a larger breakfast room where we will serve a sumptuous free continental breakfast.

We hope you will stay with us again on your next trip to New York City.

Arrived and check in was seamless with very friendly staff. You can tell immediately that this is an average hotel. However it was cheap for the area so did not expect anything fancy. Rooms were small but clean and adequate. We stayed in the double room with two small children. It was a place to put your head down but not much else.

Breakfast was a bit of a scrummage with a lack of seating. The food itself was basic but again adequate. Self service meant you could get in and out quickly in your own time.

Staff very friendly and eager to help with any queries.

Would stay there again and recommend to others who want to visit NY on a budget and want to be near right in times sq.

Been looking at hotel rates in NY for about 3-4 months before we actually came to NY - and the prices of the other hotels are shocking! I knew NY was expensive, and coming from Australia where everything is expensive, I thought I wouldn't get any wallet shock from hotel rates.

This was our first trip to NY, and since we only had 3 nights and 2 days to spend here, we wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to a lot of things but won't break the bank. Broadway at Times Square was just that - average hotel at a perfect location. The location didn't disappoint us - it was about a 1-2 minute walk to Times Square.

The hotel itself was average - very small lobby, breakfast room and bedroom. But for the price we paid ($290/night for 3 adults and 1 kid, vs $450++ for other hotels in the same area), this was a good deal. Breakfast was also included in the price - buffet selection which had waffles, fruit danish bread, sausage, bagels, loaf bread, yogurt, fruits, fried eggs and unlimited coffee for the whole day. It was an average selection and quality was so-so, but still a great plus for the price we paid.

The room itself had two double beds, and a reasonable sized bathroom. The room was quite small, there was about 0.25m distance between the beds and the walls, and about 1m distance between the two beds. It was quite a challenge fitting all our luggages and ourselves in the room. I would have preferred a bigger room, but again, we weren't really there to lounge around in the room. The room came with free wifi and cable tv.

The concierge was very helpful, he gave us maps and was able to book us on the hop in hop off Greyhound tour. He also booked us for our trip to JFK, which was about an hour trip from the hotel.

Overall, a good value hotel if you're not looking for the perks, and just want a decent hotel in a great location.

Fantastic hotel, great service from the staff! Very helpful about where to go and how to get around the city. Facilities available were good, free in room Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Although, room was VERY small, and the walls were paper thin so you could hear people in the hallway and they could hear you inside your room. I will stay here again as the room is really only a place to lay your head at night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room ending in 00 or 01, I heard the rooms are bigger.
