“Fine shopping”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

A convenient place to do your high-end shopping, but it would have been nice if the boutiques had a little more character. As it is, too monotonous.

“Window shopping delight”
Reviewed November 26, 2013 via mobile

While I had no intention of stepping foot in one of the fancy stores of Fifth Ave, it was still enjoyable to see them in real life. We were there as tourists, so walking thru the area was part of the NY experience.

“Nice stroll and a lot to see....”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

We strolled 5th from the Flatiron building up to the glass Apple store where Central Park begins. Along the way you see and visit plenty, some places which were a couple of blocks off 5th, but convenient for our day-long trip up 5th. Along the way we visited the ESB, visited a bakery for some b&w cookies, had a great burger at Madison & Vine (a restaurant name, not the address), visited Grand Central, visited the NYC Public Library, explored Rock Center, visited St Pat's Cathedral, gazed at all the shopping along 5th, visited FAO and Apple, went in a handful of other stores along 5th, visited the Plaza Hotel, and had an excellent steak dinner at Maloney & Purcelli (sp?).

Overall, I would recommend strolling 5th. By beginning our stroll at the Flatiron building, we perhaps made it a little longer stroll than most, but an enjoyable one. It got crowded, but that was expected. The only irritant was at nearly every corner were men strongly encouraging the various on-and-off bus tours...but this was a very minor nuisance.

Fifth Avenue is well-known for a lot of famous and expensive boutiques. If you love fashion and you have money - this is the place for you.

“I miss it the most!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

I honestly don't know what it is about Fifth Avenue but I miss it the most. It was just exciting to be there, walking around and even if just window shopping it was great. It wasn't as expensive as I'd thought it'd be. Actually, much of New York wasn't.
There was a feeling there on Fifth Avenue. A place where a tourist like me felt great and at home. The shops I walked into everyone was kind and if you held a door open for someone they said thank you. It was all on Fifth Avenue.
