Due to a recent renovation, there seem to be two Morgan Libraries. One is the new, Terzo Piano designed entrance, cafe, gallery spaces and gift shop. Two is the original, highly ornate library rooms as designed for JP Morgan- an avid book collector. Many rare books can be found in these three rooms dedicated to the preservation of important tomes.
The rest of the museum is dedicated to galleries focused on writers, writing, drawings, art. Each exhibit seemed unto itself and yet all part of a theme. The Morgan Library is a lovely haven in busy mid-town.
