Owner description: Just a short walk from Grand Central and Penn Station, the Morgan is a major exhibition venue for fine art, literature, and music, one of New York's great historic sites, and a wonderful place to dine, shop, and attend a concert or film.

if you owned 1% of J.P. Morgan built you would be rich enough. Visiting his particular office gives you an idea about what this guy was.

I've lived in NYC all my life, but somehow had never gone here. It is a fantastic little museum. The building itself is gorgeous, and has a lovely collection of paintings, drawings and manuscripts. I enjoyed the manuscripts the most. They are housed in Morgan's library and include a Guttenberg Bible.

Located at 36th Street and Madison Avenue, the Morgan Library and Museum is a short walk from Grand Central Terminal and oh so worth it! J.P. Morgan amassed an impressive collection of art, manuscripts, and books and then built a library to house this beautiful collection. The opulent building itself is worth a look but the collection is truly amazing! This place is a gem and it's right in the middle of Manhattan!

The Morgan Library and Museum is an oasis of calm in the big city. The study itself is beautiful and one can imagine Mr. Morgan here recharging his soul after a stressful day. Surrounded by beautiful artwork and adjacent to the stunning library filled with a wonderful collection of books and many other treasures including a Gutenberg Bible, original letters and musical scores from well-known composers and authors, amazing frescoes and works of art ... including a mask of George Washington's face that is difficult not to touch. Too many things to describe ... You've got to go there! Don't miss it!

More than a Library, the Morgan is a must see venue to visit! A Museum filled with manuscripts and Art, in a fabulous townhouse that was once lived in, P.Morgan was the Owner! Renovated not long ago, it is a Wonder and a NYC Gem!
