It's wonderful for a good stroll while viewing everything. I was a bit rushed so I'd love to go there again when I have more time and not pressed to make dinner reservation.

Very accessible by car. It is a good way to escape the fury of the city. You can sit and relax in this very unusual setting. One can almost hear the gregorian voices.

Located in the North of Manhattan, this is a good place to view the Hudson river, quiet place and the old cloisters: easy to reach with the subway.

The Cloisters is one of those few places in NYC where you can find peace and quiet. Nice green surroundings and an old Cloister to feast the eyes and camera with. It is for those who want to get away for an hour or so from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Bring your camera because it is foto genique.

This small museum is a hidden gem. Not the easiest to get to and definitely off the beaten track. One Subway ride away from Times Square puts you on the outer limit of Manhattan and it's like you're not even in the city. The park surrounding the Cloisters is beautiful. The Cloisters itself is like taking a giant step back in time. Beautiful stained glass windows, books (over 500 years old), carvings, statues, gardens. It was worth the ride.
