Owner description: The 9/11 Tribute Museum is a project of the September 11th Families’ Association which brings together those who want to learn about 9/11 with those who experienced it. The 9/11 Tribute Museum invites visitors to share personal stories of the 9/11 community — family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders and rescue workers, civilian volunteers, and community residents whose healing is a testament to the perseverance of the human spirit. We provide an understanding of the loss and impact of 9/11 while inspiring the power of resilience and recovery.

“Moving Memorial Visit”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

It was the first time I had been back to the WTC since the towers fell. It was a moving and peaceful memorial. It was great to see how far the construction has progressed on the new building. I remember being on the high floors of the former WTC when they were under construction and how they swayed. Wonder if the new building does that too?

“A must see”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We were lucky enough to book on the Survivor Tour and would tell everyone that they have to do it!

The survivors gave a candid account of what happened to them and walked us through the site. They make the event come alive to those that witnessed it through a TV screen

“Very moving”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

We went to the tribute center and the WTC site. It is an incredibly moving memorial, but very crowded. The videos shown in the center are so touching and bring the day back as though it was yesterday. I would recommend that everyone go to see the site and center, it makes the magnitude of 9/11 all the more real when you see it in person.

“Small and not very informative”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

I'd skip this if I was short on time. It seems more geared towards the visitor centre shop to sell things, rather than sparing more space to show WTC tributes.

“Very moving (FREE)”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Well worth a visit, you DO have to book online first though so don't just show up, its free, but you need to book a slot. Its very peaceful and moving and has a nice gift shop with proceeds going to the charity
