“Value in Chinatown!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

We only stayed 1 night here on September 27 2012, but could not fault it.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and polite. The room was clean and the bed was way more comfortable than the soft mattress we copped at the Intercontinental the next night - at twice the price too!

The price paid relative to the service received (& throw in the breakfast too) makes this a 5 star experience.

In terms of the area the hotel is located in, if you don't like the grime & chaos of a Chinatown-setting, maybe it isnt for you, but subways are closeby & fruit marketeers are on every corner. I had the best vege-dumplings I've ever eaten too, a few blocks south - 6 for $2.50! Unbelievabe value!

Room Tip: Try to get a higher floor to avoid the road noise created by trucks going over those road covers

Stayed 4 nights........great location between China Town and Little Italy ...... rooms really nice, very clean and beds are comfy......amazing restaurants around the corner in Little Italy, close to subways, soho, greenwich village and financial district.....we could walk everywhere in that area and take the subway to midtown Manhatten.....did alot of touring around and felt safe....great mini vacation......will be back!

Hotel is in middle of china town. Slightly odd entrance as it is just a small corridor off the street and then you need to get lift to the second floor.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Oddest thing is that the bathrooms have a window looking in to the room.

Breakfast was ok - basic buffet. It is served in a weird canteen area next to reception.

We needed a place to stay overnight after moving our daughter out of her summer dorm, back to her fall dorm, and then going to Beth Israel Hospital Friday morning for her medical procedure.

The staff here was extra helpful in so many ways. The breakfast area (breakfast included with room) was very nice. (We did not get to experience the breakfast as things ran over at the hospital.) Internet is included. The rooms are small but fine for NYC. Immaculately clean! Nice bathroom.

Great neighborhood for walking around, super easy to get a cab at 5 am....

Excellent value for the money, and by going on their website (or just asking as per the other option when our cell phone tabs would not let us reserve online), we saved $15 on overnight parking (which is at a nearby hotel).

Only drawback was the jackhammering outside our room all night long (end of August). To be fair, staff moved us from 516 to 209 at 3 am.

I will probably book here again for graduation in May 2013.

We stayed for four nights in this hotel and found the experience to be excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The room was immaculate, probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in.
Location was great for access to plenty of shops, bars, restaurants; our only problem was fitting them all in! Wi-fi was free and breakfast was fine, we didn't eat most days as we wanted to save ourselves for lunch but everything was regularly topped up and tea/coffee was readily available.

One is always fearful that such a keenly priced hotel will be a dump and really grotty. I was encouraged to find a decent set up. My room was to a good albeit fairly basic standard , the bathroom had been recently refurbed so looked good and everything worked well, even the shower area was spacious.
Breakfasts are seriously basic in choices ..if you like variations on the theme of bread you should manage, otherwise it will be a tad limited, but hey its a freebie.
Reception staff all helpful and pleasant.
Location is pretty good , very close to a number of metro stations and easy to get round.
I would certainly use it gain if I needed to watch the dollars
