Let me first say I am an avid NPS junkie and more times than not anything with the NPS stamp is a worthy educational experience. I have been making my way through the NPS sites in NYC and was excited to finally get up to Grants Tomb.
1. The Tomb is beautiful if you can get in. The alternating hours make it difficult. I don't understand why they close it down every other hour. With that being said it is gorgeous.
2. The visitor center was unimpressive. Bookstore/restrooms
3. Not many rangers to engage.
4. No film.
If you are collecting stamps then I would suggest visiting Grant's Tomb otherwise make your way over to Hamilton Grange or the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace. Had excellent experiences at both.
