Took a tour around the memorial pools with a tour guide. She spoke into a microphone and we picked up her transmission on our headsets. Very good - told us about the connections. I had no idea that's how they organized the names engraved around the water.

This park is set out with waterfalls surrounded with a railing counter engraved with the names of the victims of 911. It is a reminder of how abruptly lives can be changed forever.

we visited the memorial to the september 11 victims at liberty park.although there were many people in attendance the mood was subdued.there is a fountain around the foundation of one of the twin towers.the waist high wall around the fountain has the names of the victims etched into it.it was a very hot day but the wall felt cool, almost like it was chilled.it was very touching to be there!

It is astonishing to visit a place which once had 2 of tallest buildings in the city and was the target of a terrorist attack. However, it doesn't offer anything remarkable as experience. You won't miss anything if you don't visit it.

We went on the fourth of July, so it was busy, but respectful. Loved the idea of a Rose on their birthday. Have the kids something to look out for.
