Treat yourself to the free music on Friday and Saturday nights starting around 4:30 - you can enjoy a light meal or drinks while listening, too. Allow time for this museum as it is enormous

We walked from our hotel (the Beacon) across Central Park to the Met. City Pass tickets speeded up our admission. We had a plan, made our way to things we wanted to see otherwise we would still be there. Cant quite decide which is better, the Met or MOMA - but both are an essential culltural artristic visit whilst in NYC.

We visited twice on this visit. 17 acres of collections, wonderful resource if either a visitor like us or with a special interest in the collections. We loved the modern art, the Fabergie eggs, the European furniture. Disappointed the the rooftop cafe did not open until later in may, contrary to most advertising.
well worth a visit, and if active, walk up through Central Park to visit the museum..
The surrounding upper East side streets are pretty and walking back down Madison Ave to window shop is lovely. The 2 cafes are fine but not exceptional.

The Impressionism, Fashion, and Modernity Exhibition is really great. It's nice change from paintings and sculptures. We were a little early for a rooftop cocktail but now that it's May, it's open.

And there was like this bamboo shelter kinda thing that kept everyone cool from the incredible heat would defiantly go back
