On the same day as our second attempt to go to the Empire State Building's skydeck (the first day had very little visibility), we also went to the Chrysler Building. We saw the rival structure from the top of Empire, and figured it looked cool enough to see it the same day. I used my smartphone's park whiz app to book a space at a garage closer to the Empire State Building -- it was just a little over a mile away, but we were lazy. Like the Empire State Building, this is a tall building, roughly comparable as the younger sibling in size but not age, as it is older than Empire. The Chrysler has a distinctive, over-the-top crown, which supports the antenna that rises into the heavens like the tip of a javelin as it flies through the air, wind whipping around it. To our chagrin, we weren't able to go up top, but just like the day before, we were able to look at the beautiful art inside the lobby, especially the murals, exquisite marble and so much more. If we could have gone up to the top, that would have been wonderful, which is why this is only four stars instead of five stars.
