Owner description: Grand Central Terminal is the most extraordinary public space in New York City. Opened to the public in 1913, this historic train terminal is a world-famous landmark in Midtown. Its rich history is a story of immense wealth and great engineering. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors every day. It is the home of Metro-North Railroad, a subway station, iconic restaurants, shops, and the world's most alluring Apple Store. Some of the highlights to see along your tour of Grand Central include the opal-faced clock, valued at $20 million, above the Information Booth, the Largest Tiffany Glass Clock in the World below the 48-foot, 1500-ton Transportation statue overlooking 42nd Street at Park Avenue, and the mystifying acoustics of the Whispering Gallery in front of the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Audio and guided tours are available for those with a passion for history. More information regarding tours and ways to plan your visit can be found on the Grand Central Terminal website.

“"I'll meet you under the clock at Grand Central"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We all remember the line from the film, but the clock is actually atop an information point.

What a gorgeous building. I don't think I've ever been in a prettier train station. Vast highly decorated halls keep their historic decor from the turn of the century. A great place to visit if you want to grab a cake and a coffee and not over priced either

“What a treminal should be.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Noise, bustle, high vaulted ceiling, spectacular, this is what a terminal should be like. Do not miss the food court or the Grand Central Market, but don't take in your diet.

“A classic landmark with a fresh suprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

You have to pay a visit to this NYC landmark and take some tourist photos. The Thursday we visited offered an extra treat. There is an amazing farmers markets that offer delicious pastries and breads and the most gorgeous fresh produce you have ever laid your eyes on! There is also a toruist-help-booth on the one side for help/bookings/brochures

“Iconic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

No trip to Gotham would be complete without going to Grand Central Station. Great food hall to pick up a picnic. Alternatively have drink or meal in The Apartment. Very pricy though and under 21s not admitted.
