Ramen's soup base was good and unique, just little bit heavy. Pork bun was awesome, whole thing melt in your mouth...overall, worth the wait..8 out of 10

I had been hearing about Momofuku for several years as a viewer of the Martha Stewart Show and wanted to be sure to squeeze in lunch during our NYC visit. I did not know that they accept reservations - next time I'll plan better. Although a beautifully designed space, the restaurant is not very large and packed with hungry customers. The very competent staff however moved effortlessly and efficiently through the crowded dining room and provided excellent, friendly service. We sat at the counter watching the cooks as they turned out dish after dish of aromatic treats. The pork buns alone are worth a visit - a delicious combination of flavor and texture and rightly famous. We also had the noodles - large bowls - delicious and filling. So much so that we ended up canceling our dinner reservations!

I've been going here since they opened. Porky goodness in almost everything. Soju slush? Do it. Soft serve after noodles? Heck yes.

Clean slick airy table sharing noodle bar replete with all hipster trappings. Big bowl of Ramen noodles for 14$ Daily specials a bit less. Wine list is sparse and served in Pyrex beekers like out of some high school chemistry class. 40 bucks for a half litre (menu doesn't give size of carafe) of treacly Reisling was my poor decision so don't you do it. Split a bowl of noodles, drink tap water and try to get out as cheap as you can which is the exact opposite of what they want you to do. Funny how these twenty something hipsters can lay out 50 bucks for lunch or contemplate a half bottle of Roumier Burgundy to go with their noodles.

I always try to go to Momofuku one time while visiting NYC. The Momofuku ramen is good. A couple of times ago when I visited, the broth was overly salty, but this time, was perfect. The Pork Buns are heaven. The pickles should be better. Asia pickles do not have this much, if any, vinegar in them. If the pickles were better, this place would get a perfect rating.
