Okay, I readily admit I know close to nothing about African food. However, I do have some experience with South American/Afro food as it is prepared in Brazil and the Carribean. I felt that the Brazillian influenced dishes were excellent and traditionally prepared. How they compare to the African dishes and the fusion of the two I am not so certain. Nevertheless, the meal we had was all very good. The MePA district is great and gives this place a great ambiance. I would reccomend that if you are in the area to include this restaurant on the list as something good and something different while everyone else is eating stead and pomme frites at the way too many french bistros in NYC.
