“Understated, but Important, Historic Spot”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

I think I've now visited these ruins three times over the last two years. I've yet to tire of the experience. My visit last week was even better than the previous two, as they were hosting a Native American music and craft fair. The museum adjacent to the ruins is not huge, but really nicely done. If you are within an hour or so of Coolidge, you really should stop by here for a look at the work of this region's original residents, the Gila River Nation. I'd love to see them do an after dark event some time. This structure served as an observatory among other things. I think it would be really cool for them to have it open "under the stars". Perhaps they already do. I'll have to ask before my next visit to the Casa Grande Valley.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is the tallest and largest Hohokam building known. It was built in the 1300s and is still standing. This was an amazing abode to see. It is under an aluminum cover, but you can walk right up to it and walk around it. There is also a building near to it that houses information about the structure as well as pottery and the likes that were found. There is also a gift shop.

“...if you're near the area. (very near)”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I wouldn't go out of my way to see this. Coolidge is an eye sore and the "Ruins" is a disappointment. It's better to read about and view the pictures....this way it remains scenic.
