Came here after the Days Inn across the street wanted $79.00 in mid-April for a single room. I'd had it with Motel 6 style rooms (which the Days Inn isn't) on this road trip around New Mexico and Western Texas so spending a little more was rewarded here. Room was $60.00 this time of year. Room had a comfortable bed, small dorm-style fridge that kept the beer cold, microwave, typical hotel coffeemaker with real cups, ironing board and iron, new marble-look sink in the bathroom. Flat screen TV with about 70 channels. HBO looked fuzzy, All others channels looked clear with the networks in HD quality. Furniture should be replaced as it looks left over from past years' incarnations. I had room 222 and I can't vouch that all rooms are this good. Continental breakfast was fine. Coffee, tea, danish, bagels, juices and self serve waffles.
Pool wasn't open, though with the 80F degree temps would have been nice. Overall a good choice at the edge of town before setting off for the Caverns.More
