My partner and I actually happened upon this hotel through the Trinity's restaurant review in Urbanspoon.com. After looking at The Trinity's website, we decided to book a two-night stay.

We arrived a little early and our room wasn't quite ready, so we had lunch in their restaurant on the first floor. We were surprised how good it was. Check in was a breeze, but we did have to pay for the entire stay up-front, which wasn't a big deal.

There is a separate parking lot for guests, that will soon be gated, by the looks of the ready to be installed gates leaning up against the wall. All nine of the rooms are accessible from the outside (no entry from the lobby/restaurant). Also, there is no elevator.

We were shown to our room by one of the owners and were very surprised how well appointed the rooms were. Great decor, clean and bright. The room had a king size bed, two overstuffed chairs, desk, armoire with a large LCD television, great bed and bedding.

The bathroom was spectacular (we were very envious of it). Large tiled shower with a shower head that actually produces a nice flow of water. Towels were plush and amenities were nice, too. Your stay also includes breakfast from the restaurant, which was great.

The owners are very involved and are on property to make sure things are run well. That said, being from Dallas, it is not as polished as some of the fine hotels here, Phoenix, or other large cities. Clearly though, for this part of New Mexico, it is one of the finest. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I have stayed in lots of B and B's and a few boutique hotels and the Trinity is right at the top of the list. Beautiful renovation of an historic building, creating a new purpose for the former bank. The decor is modern and fresh, no Victorian ruffles here! The bed was very comfortable and dressed in smooth white bed linens that just caused a cool calm to come over you as you entered the room. Only open one year, the furniture and bath fixtures are still new and well cared for, besides being spotlessly clean. Every choice from furniture, bath fixtures, bedding, draperies and art down to the carpet has been carefullly thought out, and chosen. The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone, and in person. The restaurant in the lower level was not open on the Sunday evening we arrived, but that was the only evening they were closed and the breakfast the next morning was great, along with your choice of specialty coffee/tea or chai. Parking is secure, and the private entrance for guests, (different from restaurant patrons) makes the rooms secure as well. Though not a problem for us, there is a long staircase to ascend, (no elevator), or enter on the exterior wide "fire escape style" staircase at the rear of the building near the parking.

The Hotel is an old bank from the early 1900's. It is just beautiful! The staff was friendly. The stay was wonderful. The bed was soft and glorious. The restaurant was elegant and the food was amazing. Loved the free NM wine tasting! Bought a couple of bottles. We were in the middle of town. Only a 40 minute drive from the Cavens.

I highly recommend the hotel. Only suggestion: should stay open on big tourist holidays like Memorial Day. Missed out on some business.
